From tomorrow, ASE members will join the 58th yearly scientific meeting of the Italian Economic Association (SIE), entitled Mezzogiorno/Mezzogiorni: multiple trajectories and multiple equilibria. Prof. Emuanele Felice (University G. D’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara) will open the first plenary session, with a keynote on "Why southern Italy has fallen behind. A long-term analysis", based on his recent books (slides are available here). Then, the President of the Association, Prof. Giovanni Vecchi (University of Rome "Tor Vergata") will chair a session entitled “An economic historian’s look at new data”.
