4th LSE Interwar Economic History Workshop: Call for Papers

4th LSE Interwar Economic History Workshop, 10-11 December 2018 – Call for Papers.

Following up on successful events in 2015, 2016, and 2017 we are inviting papers for the 4th LSE Interwar Economic History Workshop to be held on 10-11th December at the London School of Economics.

The event is organised by PhD students from the Department of Economic History of the LSE and the Faculty of History at the University of Oxford thanks to the financial support of the Department of Economic History of LSE. This year, the keynote speakers will be Prof. Kris Mitchener (Santa Clara University) and Prof. Nikolaus Wolf (Humboldt University).

We are seeking applications to present at the workshop from both PhD students and experienced researchers working on a wide range of topics relating to the economic history of the interwar era. The workshop offers the possibility of receiving feedback in a friendly environment from top academics and fellow researchers. Papers offering novel interpretations of the events of the interwar era and/or drawing policy implications are particularly welcome.

For the duration of the workshop, meals will be provided, including a dinner

on Monday night. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide financial support for travel and accommodation costs for the participants.

Please send an abstract of your paper and your CV to interwarworkshoplse@gmail.com by Monday 17th September 2018. Decisions will be announced by Monday 8th October and full papers are expected by Monday 3rd December 2018.

Mattia Bertazzini, Oliver Bush, Giacomo Gabbuti, Marco Molteni, and Roger Vicquéry.
